Darriaud - Cotes du Rhone, 2020
Darriaud Rose is made using hand harvested grapes subjected to the Provencal ‘rosé de presse’ method. This very gentle pressing extracts as much aroma and flavour as possible with the least amount of tannins. The wine is vinified at cool temperatures in stainless steel vats to preserve these delicate aromas and flavours.
Bourgogne Chardonnay 'Les Charmes', Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair, 2017
Peach and golden apple fruit with a light chalky mineral character. Very elegant indeed. Perfect with grilled white fish, roasted vegetables… and a bit of sunshine.
Château Maison Neuve, Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux, 2015
A wonderfully complex and very classic style of 'claret' from an excellent vintage. A high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon (90%, unusual at this level) offers up cassis and cigarbox notes. A wine that will benefit from an hour or two of air to breathe and cries out for an accompaniment of beef or lamb
Châteauneuf-du-Pape Tradition Rouge, Domaine Bosquet des Papes, 2016
A complex, full-bodied and spicy red wine with aromas of ripe plum fruit, savoury wild herbs and old leather. Round and plush on the palate with with a complex savoury finish.
Beausejour Les Grenettes, 2018
Made from a single-vineyard of 25-year old vines, this Touraine Sauvignon Blanc shows great balance and concentration. After hand-picking, grapes undergo direct pressing followed by low temperature fermentation. This is a terrifically pure and fresh wine with a minerally edge that lingers on the mouth-watering finish.
Rémy Leroy - Brut Nature, NV
A rich Champagne reflecting the dominance of Pinot Noir and low yields of the vines. The inviting amber hue stems from high anthocyanin levels in the ripe Pinot Noir. It's perfect for summer days and celebrations.
